This hole can be made manually with a Pilot Bar or mechanically with a coring tool (<strong>Pilot Core Tool<\/strong>) or a motorised earth auger.<\/p>\n<p>Posts under <strong>78 mm<\/strong> do not normally require a pilot hole. In soils of <strong>clay<\/strong> or <strong>chalk<\/strong>, this procedure may also be advisable.<\/p>\n<h2>Which adapter do I need?<\/h2>\n<p>To get the best performance from the post driver, the adapter should fit the post diameter as closely as possible.
